No it has nothing to do with James bond just a name I gave to my trusty rat bait.
I have been doing pest control for many years on and off and there is nothing better than when you gain a new pm on a dairy farm which we all know is always good sport when it comes to them pesky rats.
I have tried and tested most types of bait on them over the years some work for a little while and some never work.
So a few years back I decided to work on a new type of bait which would stop them in there tracks when they came across it.

RECIPE.
1x Jar Smooth Peanut Butter.
1x Jar Smooth chocolate Spread.
! x Ltr Vegetable cooking oil.

Instructions.
Add the peanut butter and the chocolate spread into a plastic jug and put into microwave for 30 seconds.
Take out of microwave and start to add the cooking oil to the mix in the jug.
Whisk together with a fork or until you get a nice consistency like tomato sauce.
you can never add to much oil so don't worry.
Once you have done this it is best to then pour the mix into an old squirty sauce bottle.
There you have it.
This is a very clean method and easy to apply devastating bait which a few members on here that I have gave samples to have used with excellent results.

Tips on baiting.

1 Learn your pests and there habitats throughout the year as there habits which will change from spring to winter.
2 At the end of your rat session put down some fresh bait and leave for the rats to eat during the time you are away from your shoot.
This will build up confidence between the rats as not being a dangerous food source to fear.
3 Never shoot the first rat that comes to the bait let them have a taste and go away which will allow that first rat to spread the word to others that there is a food source about.
4 See the bigger problem with your pests {if rats are very active during the day when there is human activity going on that is a singe there is an even bigger problem going on after hours}.
5 Always try to educate people you meet on your rat shoots gain there confidence let them know your reasons as to why you are there as in the disease that rats carry and the known symptoms to look out for.
6 Always up hold the law and abide by the land owners agreements and learn all your boundary's on that shoot {use google earth}.

The pro points to Secret Agent.
Easy to apply.
Clean and safe to all wildlife and humans.
Devastating to help rid them pesky rats.
Easy to see if them rats have fed on your bait while your back is turned for them few minutes as there will be areas of the bait missing but there will be a tell tale singe with an oil stain on the ground showing you which way they approached you bait.
They cant pick up this bait and walk away with it they have to stay and lick the product giving you plenty of time to align your perfect shot.

The Cons none known to date.
