Barrel polishing,  internally.  is anyone doing this with any success.

Is there a problem with your barrel that you need to Polish?
It's only usually new barrels that need polishing ie if you purchase a Lothar walther blank from chambers etc it would need internal polishing.

Been watching to much YouTube  , came across guys polishing barrels, until then I'd never heard of it.

I would give it a good clean if it's not grouping well, I wouldn't go to the extent of polishing. I've got to guns with LW barrels that need cleaned every 100 shots, one rapid with an Anschutz barrel that hates being cleaned and three rapid custom blocks with fx liners which also don't like being cleaned, they prefer and shoot better leaded up. Ask Kevg for some advice, he's a good guy and very helpful.

A light polishing with Autosol will help it stay cleaner for longer. no need to go to town unless accuracy is poor.
Polished a couple of unchoked 12 groove LWs until they performed better, jury was out on the polygon.

My faverourate 12 groove LW used to foul up using AA diabolo 18gr and drop accuracy after 150-200 shots even after washing and re-lubing the pellets.

Hasn't been an issue since, stays relatively clean, just a pull through in the spring to clear out the cobwebs ;D
