Facebook ban on any kind of guns sales, even just advertising guns to be sold face to face.

Facebook are now looking into the prospect of banning advertising of any guns as early as next year.

This is why facebook will be banning all guns on facebook very soon,

What is considered a firearm in the list of regulated goods in Facebook's Community Standards?

The purchase, sale or trade of firearms, ammunition and explosives between private individuals isn't allowed on Facebook. This includes:

    Rifles
    Shotguns
    Machine guns
    Handguns
    Pistols
    Revolvers
    Firearm receivers
    Antique guns
    Black powder firearms
    Muzzle-loading firearms
    BB guns
    Airsoft guns
    Air guns
    Air rifles
    Paintball markers
    Firearm replicas
    Non-functioning firearms
    Curios and relics
Destructive devices such as bombs, grenades, rockets, missiles or mines
Ammunition components, such as blanks, bullets, bullet tips, casings, gun powder, primers, and shotgun shells

We understand that some of these items may not be legally regulated everywhere people use Facebook. In order to enforce our policies as fairly and consistently as possible, we use one broad set of standards for the entire Facebook community.

Facebook are starting to ban all sale of guns & all ad`s of any type of weapons,...update below.

Facebook ban

Just had a 24 hr ban from Facebook for posting a stock for sale so be wary of what you are posting even though it was on a stocks for sale page was told it is against community policy be nice to know what the policy is

Sounds about right for FB, there so called 'rules or policies' are so hidden at times its untrue!

Really, I found this in one google search Are firearm sales allowed on Facebook? | Facebook Help Centre | Facebook

The Face Book policy - Chapter 5, subsection F , rule no. 5.6 - is that 'All Shooting the Breeze members must appraise your item for sale before it is listed any where else, just in case its any good and they want to buy it, only when the said members have concluded that its old junk then and only then it can go to Face Book'

Its in the rules: Facebook Policies | Facebook - remember, Chapter 5, subsection F , rule no. 5.6

Change`s are coming with social media if you like it or not,....Now`s the time to go back to the basic`s and remember where we all stand,...Support you forum`s as they are independent of all and any social meda software,

:)

I new this would happen at some point,

Facebook bans gun sales on social network and Instagram,

Facebook is cracking down on online gun sales with a new policy barring private individuals from advertising or selling firearms. The social network announced restrictions on gun sales and advertising in 2014, saying it would block minors from seeing posts that advertised guns. But it has now gone a step further by banning private sales.
