Pard NV 008.

The Pard nv 008 is a well established nv now readily available on most shooting related websites.
It is very affordable and well made product.
As with all scope related items manufactures cater for all budget ranges {you get what you pay for}.
A nv which would cost you £2000 will be much better in quality and will have better firmware/Processors/ and gadgets to aid your shooting experience than one which would cost you say £350/£450.
This does not mean in any way that you wont see any thing at night with a lower priced nv.
What it does mean is the image quality will differ and the processor will be slower on the lower end scope.
if you want to see your processor in action look through your scope and scan a field see how at times your image is not where you are looking for a split second as if it is playing catch up.
The other thing to take into account on all scopes is the quality of the lenses a vast learning curve I can assure you.
One of the questions I get asked the most is why is my reticule not centre when I look through my nv/thermal scope.
There are many answers to as why this has occurred but I will try to explain a few simple guidelines in order to make this better.
1.MOUNTS. A very important factor as there are right ways to fit them and wrong ways to fit them and depending on the style of your stock and the cheek piece can make for special mounts at times.
My advise is watch a few videos on how to fit them correctly.

2.Dont confuse yourself when trying to sort out a reticule problem as a standard scope is unlike a digital scope in many ways.
3.Depending on the model of your nv/thermal scope they will come with built in firmware which you can update later on down the line.
The reason for this is to iron out existing problems within the product and also to improve the products performance.
If your reticule is of centre on your digital scope the main reason for this is mounts.
During the process of setting up your scope most have to be calibrated in varied ways.
One of the settings that is very important is the setting where you need to measure the diameter from the centre of your barrel to the centre of your scope lens and input that into the settings.
There is no room for error in this.
Once that information has been understood by the onboard processer it will calibrate your reticule for you.
Here lies the problem with most digital scopes after you have done the above and now you look where your reticule is on your scope you will notice it has moved.
This is down to a firmware problem on most makes and models which they are aware off and I'm sure in time they will release an update to resolve this.
For now here is a few tips I have learnt to make life with that problem a little better.
1.Get your scope as low as you can on your outfit the lower the better.
2.When you have done the above zoom in a little and you will see your reticule change again and become more central.
