Are there any basic diy mods you can carry out yourself to improve the prformance of your rapid

Maxwell

No replies,  ive polished the hammer and hammer spring, thought there would of been other bits and pieces I  could of done to improve the gun not interested in any thing that ups the power as gun is sub 12 and want it to stay that way

Hi Maxwell,
Have you had a look in the airgun data section on here there is a lot of info regarding the service of a rapid from  the trigger units to your reg and valve.
Have a look im sure you will find much info on there.

If it's a mk1 gamo trigger model it can be worth giving the trigger sears a polish.tooth paste and your finger tips can do the job.

Realy it depends on your idea of diy.if you have a lathe and half a brain you  an make more or less anything.if not just simple polishing and setting the guns balance up can work wonders

If it's an early mk1 with the non adjustable bolt - you can now replace it with a later type adjustable bolt - to make it easier to adjust the probe and get a good probe to barrel seal 👍 DR BOB makes them 👍😎👍
