Getting old sucks

That being said, I've learned the bittersweet reality of getting older today. When I went to visit my daughter, her little girl was upstairs playing in her room and shouted down, "I'll be down in a moment, Grandad!"

At that moment, my heart completely melted. I just stood there thinking, "Oh my goodness... I'm the Grandad now."

It's a strange feeling because I've never been a grandad before. One minute you feel like you're still figuring life out yourself, and the next you're being called Grandad by a little person who thinks the world of you. It's a title I'm incredibly proud of, but it's going to take a bit of getting used to!

Well being 10 Years older Doesn't help my Cause Any.....
Just the other day, my sister was talking about her friend from college...
That her daughter has nice family...
She looks at and says, "you know the one you had to babysit at 2 months old, when you send her Father to the ER!!!"
In My defense, My friend and I were 16 playing ping-pong against mid 20ish guys..
Did a great drop shot the clip the edge of the table....
He foolishly tried to reach for it...Pop goes his shoulder out of socket!!
That was 50 years ago!!!!

You know what, Stuart? In my eyes, you're one hell of an Admin. Just look at how far this forum has come since those early days.

KCE got it absolutely right when he said that the staff had been carefully chosen to help define this forum. Looking back, I think we all played our part perfectly, and together we've helped build something quite special.
