Trigger Pin Punch with Striker...A Rainy day Project

On a rainy day, there nothing like a relaxing session with the Lathe.

One thing I was always bug me... If I had to drop my trigger out in the field, I couldn't!
Even if I have a punch in my gun case. I don't have anything to drive the pin out!!!
It seems Chip like tight tolerances. So the Harden pins are tight!!
So I made me a Pin-Punch and Striker.

The strike is made from scrap hex stock.
It is Delrin tipped, and to secure the punch it has a nylon tipped grub screw

The Pin Punch is made of S7 tool steel.

This will make dropping out the Trigger cartridge a breeze...
So I now can fully service my Ul_Ti_Mate or MKII Rapid out in the field.

Thanks KevG,

I am still envious of you shop!!
I wish I had room for a lathe and mill that size!!
No wonder the parts you make are Amazing!!

A Man may have Nice Tools.... But He Still needs to Know How to Use Them!!

What an idea you had there Stuart and to make one as fitting as that is something else.

The only thing you need to add to your workshop now Stuart is a fox like kevG that is as famous in the rapid  scene as he is.
