Heyup
Quick one, do all Mk2 blocks have "Mk2/MKII machined on the side or just certain ones??
Tia

Ca_Varminter

No...
Toward the end of Theoben..
To save on Engraving... they mark the blocks with only "Theoben Rapid"
So the blocks could be used on any of the Rapid models...

@Ca_Varminter Cheers for your response!
That makes total sense unfortunately and now you mention it I remember that being the case with the MFR and the last ones missing the marking.
I'm guessing there's no way of knowing a genuine mk2 that isn't marked as regs, bottles and stocks are all changeable?

I've got "MK2" blocks marked "MFR", "MK11", & "Rapid" the only differences are:
the "MK11" has the sporter trigger & is not scalloped for single shot loading,
Both "MK11" & "MFR" are angled above the barrel & both have the serial no stamped on the dropped level behind the scope mounting,
these both date from Mar/Apr 2005
Both blocks marked "Rapid" are squared off above the barrel & have the serial no stamped on the left side under the barrel clamp,
These are from Nov 2009 & Feb 2010.

Both of my MK2 blocks s/n 23k & 25k were from MFRs, both are only marked Rapid.

Pretty much  ??? , I call my "MK11" a MFR because it has the MFR reg, shrouded skinny barrel, & stock, but strictly speaking it can't be because it doesn't have the scallop for single shot,
yet the one marked "Rapid" I call a mk2 even though it has the MFR reg, scallop & stock, so is more MFR spec,
And then to cap it all I went & put the "MFR" block in to a rail chassis, with a home made shroud.

But does it really matter?
