I've just fitted a rowan trigger to my mk2 rapid, I had to take a bit out from under the trigger guard to make it fit, is this correct, has anyone else had to do this, also had to shim it aswell as there was a little left to right play in it.

depends on the stock style and fit,as they can differ.

It's working great, just wasn't sure about altering the stock,it was only very slight, bit of sandpaper around screwdriver shaft worked perfectly

Sounds like they do need a bit of "fitting" depending on which stock is fitted - put a photo on of the fitted trigger 👍

Only thing I had to do was reduce the Delrin spacers a bit as rowan trigger was wider and when trigger plate screwed back on was jamming trigger as too tight
Fit like n !!!

Hi Dave
Not sure if they have altered them a little then, or it's just the trigger cassette tolerance, I'm only guessing, but I love this new trigger.
