Hi what's the. difference between the reged valve and the unreged

Ca_Varminter

The Valve-stem are the same.
The Black Valve-body, the size of the porting are different!
The Reg one have a smaller ports.
You need to talk to KevG about exact size needed.. 12 ft-lbs or FAC..too

Hi I thought it might be port size but I would have thought the reged one would have the larger one and wondering what the best size is for sub 12

Squinty

IIRC Chambers used to list 3 sizes of black valve .small/medium/large.
I assume Mk1 5mm, mk2 FAC 5.5 and  Mk2 6mm.

Early MFRs had 5mm front
Late MFR valves had a larger front 6mm and 4.6mm top.

Gain 5mm> 6mm is about 40 shots according to KevG's 'how many shoots'

OK thanks for that and It will depend on the rapid early mk 1 or mk2.
