Soon i`m going to buy another HW80 with a 19" barrel, from that point i`m going to upgrade it step by step.

The first thing i`m going to do is upgrade the stock by Custom stocks, then start to look at the inner`s.
I will come back to this thread at a later date when i do buy the gun, but i don`t know how true this is, But has the metal on the HW80 been made with a cheaper metal and not as strong because thats what i`m being told about it.

I`m being told to buy a much old HW80, Instead of a brand new one due to the cut backs on the metal grading to make the gun.

?

Regards

:)

I can assure you the new HW 80 are not the same build quality as the old ones and the internals are not the same.
I have worked on 100s over the years KevG will tell you I have worked on most types of springers doing all internal work and external work.
I would go for an  early 1982/83 to get best results.
I have plenty of spares here from trigger units/pistons/all types of crowns/stocks/springs/extended main spring dampers/top hat and tails to name but a few things.

Did you ever get an 80 as mentioned above? I know the thread is over a year old but from reading it, it was exactly what I was after and managed to get one about 3 years ago.
