Well guess where " Dr Bob" came from ?? It was my CB handle back in 1982. I and 4 other guy's formed the AVBC  or Air Valley Breakers Club. It became one of the biggest venues in the UK.
I used to love talking on skip on my Sam 2000 it even had sideband

That certainly brings back memories - although personally never saw the point of echo mic's.  A good bunch of people....but like everywhere there were also the complete plums.

Lost touch - I heard that there are more than 40 channels now.......many a time the mag mount came off - I still have the aerials in the garage.
