had an hour tinkering with the mk1 20, just not happy with it.
It's fitted with a reg but the top port isn't big enough to maximise flow.
As is... I'm having to run a longer (not massive) spring and a shorter 12mm hammer pip to get it up to 11.5ft.
Part porting, part 14.5" barrel making harder work?
Options are open it up to mk2 specs or retro fit fast flow.
More work/money or use what I have.
Took the reg off... fitted one of Kev's 4.75mm exhaust valves and screwed on a sub-12 fast flow.
changed the spring for one that was previously running sub-12 in my. 22
refitted the original hammer after shortening the pip from 17mm to 16mm.
Came in with a snappier shot cycle at 9.3.
Little bit of spring tinkering ....11.6- 11.7 with Exacts and FTTs. Both consistent with a 10fps spread.
Maybe just maybe... its time for a scope

Looking good it's most of the fun getting them right I think you are on the right tracks here! 👍👍 was wondering if you where going to break it up I was hoping not but would have had a few bits of it if you did😉 but rather it stay together and be a running rifle than scrap yard parts I'm about to try and save a block(no barrel or stock) my self but it is RAF! So may just keep what I want and try and get a little back out of what I payed for it👎😪
The block is sorted :-X and the barrel appears to be accurate, making it work has been more enjoyable
The stock is on my mk2, the micro-reg is already in my mk2 to test different reg pressures back to back but one will eventually find its way into my FAC..
Otherwise its a working gun short of a decent stock, I've put some time and some spares into it.
Don't know........haven't had any time as such to warm to it.
Never seen the micro regs take it the advantage is more plenum space? I know they are shed made so to speak. I have a standard mk2 one but I haven't set it up as I dont have a tester yet I know the bf ones are hit and miss the lane ones look ok but have an allen instead of a button stylebleeder and have cheap gauges not sure if theres any more available at the min does dr bob do them? I haven't ever seen them advertised for sale?
Im sure Dr Bob does reg testers on his site and I know kevG does the micro regs.

The Reg fitted to my rapid is a KevG micro reg,...And it`s been on my rapid for good god i`d say ten years and it`s never let me down yet!

As I've said in another thread I need to get back in touch with kev to sort out my rifles c19 stopped me getting over and I know hes always busy I'm one of those people I dont like to bother people when I know they are busy I'll wait thing is I know hes getting more work by the day and dont want to miss my chance ie by the time he got got through his back log it will be time retire and enjoy his rapids👍🤣🤣🤣
I would be very surprised if Kev fully retires. He loves Rapids too much. Ken.
