Hi all,
Anyone use aftermarket magazines, in particular the ones made by CARM?
I have used one made for Daystate actions and it was very nice indeed, so i was wondering what the best option is for my .177 Mk2.
Cheers

I've had both popular mags; Darko/CARM and SMWE.
The SMWE didn't work well in my Mk2, Stuart was great and sent out a replacement from a new batch as soon as that became available. Still had feed problems with it spitting pellets out of the scallop and jamming. Returned it and was refunded immediately.
Darko, contacted him via FB after having problems with the SMWE and placed my order on a Sunday. He had the printer going straight away and I received them on the next Saturday.
Feed ok, fit is good.
I'm considering a standard mag or two, Bob's or RAW...whichever is available not that there are any problems with the CARMs just prefer the OE style fully enclosed magazine.
I have standard theoben mags, Dr Bob and smw engineering, all work as they should but I do prefer the Dr Bob's version and if I was after another it would be a Dr Bob mag and peace of mind with back up if there's any issues (I've had none though)
I only use the original mags and Dr bob mags.
A lot of the new 3d printed mags are prone to problems with moisture and sunlight and also heat can create problems.
There is a link on all the new 3d printed mags and the materials used I will try to find it.
I'm sure Dr Bob also thought about going down that route but soon changed his mind.
Regards kev.
Use 3d printed mags everyday . I have them off 3 different makers and everyone works perfectly never had a problem .....
Thanks all for your input.
I'll play it safe for now and go with a Dr Bobs effort... i have used one before and it worked well without fault so it makes sense. Does he frequent this board?

He does, I use Dr Bobs mag 12 shot in .22 flavour, just ordered another one from him. Great mags from a top bloke 👍🏻
we don't realy know if the carm and such will stand the test of time.not got any my self but had a fair few rapids in with them and they worked fine.but no better than some of the original mags that are around 25 years old.

I use Darko,s mags and have no problems at all with them. Darko's customer service is excellent.
I've got two Darko mags in .20. The only issue I have is the feel when I push the bolt forward. The 3D printing process leaves lines in the surface and they are like little washer boards on the pellet. Dr Bobs milled plastic mags have a totally smooth bore and you notice the difference.
