I'd love a Tyrolean stock for my MK1.
As everyone knows. these are like hens teeth so thinking about a CS stocks one.
Has anyone ever had one cut for their rapid? If so, does the cheekpiece come as high as the original ones.? Are they identical to the originals?
I have 4 of the original tyro stocks but never had a new cs one.
Regards kev.
Four....thats just being greedy lol!
Would you like to sell one please?
Sorry they are all fitted to my rapids.
They do come up from time to time on the bay.
I will keep an eye out for one for you.
Regards kev.
For info - I just heard from CS Shefield and the was told that :P the tryo in production is not suitable for the rapid.
When I last saw Richard this year he said he had a lot of problems from buyers of the tyro stock.
The tyro stock came about during the target shooting time and was not made to take on large scopes.
You struggle to gain eye relief at times is one of the main problems with this type of stock.
I have never had a problem with them myself.
The very early Theoben tyro stocks had a much higher cheek piece than the new ones do.
The air arms Camargue also came with a nice tyro stock and some hw 80,s.
Regards Kev.
The newer ones designed for open sights seem a bit ineffective with todays scopes.
