One on g trader £1800 😲 I know they're holding their money but surely that's a bit excessive?

I liked the bit "serious enquiries only", how he expects anyone to be serious when their wetting themselves with laughter at that price

I have no idea as to where they value the rapid at that price.
I guess they live with hope.

Unfortunately there are a lot of chancers out there, I know when I sold my Leshiy I got one or two offers (by cretins) a third below what it was advertised at, that's just how some people are. Trouble is they are normally the first to bleat if someone does the same to them.

I think when i bought my Rapid about 30 years ago maybe,  It cost around £700 pounds i think? , I know if i checked i would see the price tag in the box it came in, But i was astonished when a friend of mine offered me £1500 for my Mrk1,  But i refused point blank because when i bought my Rapid it was a special moment that i said to myself i was going to spend good money on a good quality airgun,  That i was going to keep for the rest of my life :)

And tbh the Rapid has been the best airgun i`ve ever owned,...Its took me through some rocky times learning about its workings and maintaining it over the years with forums like this,  But thanks to ppl like KevG,  DrBob , they make owning a Rapid so much better.

Thats my personal experience`s through the years i`ve own the Theoben Rapid 7.

:)

Looks like a .20 MFR has been split for parts on ebay 😲

Its a shame that they're worth more as parts - when effectively another full rapid is lost .....

I think the only time I can condone one of these guns being broken for parts are the fac versions that just do not seem to shift otherwise. Look at gunstar / guntrader the number of fac vs non fac is 4 to 1 at least.

It's just financial greed when a gun is broken for parts and tbh we are guilty as we buy the parts, if there wasn't a market then they wouldn't get broken up.

Will the ones that are broken for parts only drive the price up for complete guns that are in the same factory configuration? Hope so cos all mine are as they left theoben.
