Thats about all there is inside it.Took one apart myself .Will see if i can find pics.
I drilled a lot more holes into the plastic tube and used wadding on outside.
Did improve it a bit.
Could always experiment and make some cages and baffles yourself out of hair curlers and repair washers??

thank you Vard  for confirming what is in side of sound moderator. i have used two penny washers with 5 mm hole and a hair curler (from my mum ) ,i have ordered some felt 3 to 4 mm thick so hopefully that will help a lot.

I would also try and experiment with the micro cloth you can get.i found that much better than felt.

Great Kev, got loads of that at work in a lovely shade of pink, it might be full of Covid virus, but it'll do.

Depends on diameter of silencer and size of cage or roller you are wrapping it around.for example on a 35mm diameter silencer with a roller of 22 mm.i do 3 rotations of the cloth on say a 24 mm rolller or cage I do 2 rotations of cloth.ive tried most stuff.such as felt and proper speaker and car sound proofing and was shocked the micro cloth worked much better.of course the passage holes are very important on the baffle spacers.smaller the better.

Hi there i find in the silencer's that i have modded that the kitchen scouring pad's work the best (the green type bit that is on normal sponge cleaners, i found you can get a pack of 5 i think it was different colour's ) its not stopping the sound it's slowing it down that i think works i think that the type of cloth that you can blow through. That's my thought's anyway, oh and small hole's in the washers inside so the pellet just goes through without clipping, happy testing and watch out for that covid19 it lurks about for a long time on some surfaces. All the best Graham.

have now removed old cloth and re fitted with the 5mm thick sponge cloth. it's the blue one. seem to made difference to the sound. now more sound of piston stopping old cloth was from a miele  hoover filter. which is very thin. but will try with extra thick felt when it arrives, kevG can you put up a photo of what you mean please

well i have try'd felt. micro fibre. j-cloth . but to me 5 mm thick sponge cloth seem's to be the quietest of the four that i have used. it's only the sound of the piston now
more like thump. but will try with bigger rollers when i find some,

Is that part of the original baffle you're using there?

hello Brooksy yes it is, but to day i got some 25 mm dia rollers from superdrug. for £1.99 for 6. i have removed original baffle , and are just using rollers, with micro cloth. on out side , and have put felt inside roller .as kevG. said micro cloth has made a difference ,it's a little bit more quieter. and i have now set up target at 50yards. using 8.4 rsw superfield , and not to bad. any way i am pleased with results.

well silencer is now sorted, shooting it from bench you hear a thwack as piston stop's and at 10 yd's just a thud. and at 20 to 25 yd's nothing at all. i set up a heath robinson job but it worked, i put cord on trigger as pictures show and the video was at 12 foot away,

Is it best to use a small diameter hair curler so that you can get more raps of felt around the outside of them

hi Maxwell i would of used 22 mm dia hair rollers but i only found 25 mm dia but i am still looking for 22mm  i think that they are only in packets of 6  more then enough to play a round with. i got mine from super drug. they had a sale on
