Title: My standard 2005 MFR with CS800 stock
Post by: Scott on June 15, 2020, 09:32:00 PM
This is my CS800 stock, It is slight different from standard because I asked for them to remove the schnabel (I don't like the look of them) and stipple the front end just like the CS500.
I also removed the previously fitted (by me) Dr Bob quickfill with a 380cc bottle as I had issues with it purging and not holding air and reinstated the standard MFR 280cc bottle.
(I just wish I hadn't fucked up a previously pristine stock to fit them)

So here is my absolutely stock standard (roughly May 2005) .22 MFR with a Mk3 trigger:
Plans for the future (hopefully) include a regulator overhaul and tune to remove as much working noise as possible and either a new shroud or a rework of my standard MFR  one.

Also by deleting that bloody (ugly) schnabel I was able to securely fit a decent size weaver mount for my bipod using some T-nuts on the inside of the stock.

Personally I think it looks great now

And carefully countersinking the T-Nuts means there's no fouling on the air bottle and a nice tight gap too

And here it is wearing a Hawke Panorama 5-15x50 scope which I much prefer to the Hawke Nite-Eye 6.5-20x50 scope that it came with.

Beautiful wood grain on that butt end, front end looks a bit chunky for my taste I prefer a slimmer fore end, yours is still a lovely stock though 👍🏻
