Title: Swapping from bottle to cylinder
Post by: woogie_man on June 12, 2026, 10:43:17 PM
Hey guys,

Say I am playing around with the idea of making a handy little hunting rifle.  Not looking for anything high powered and really wouldn't need a ton of shots.   So looking at ditching the large bottle on one of the rifles and swapping it with a cylinder.  I have been searching and haven't been able to find any sources for a cylinder.

Does anyone know where to find a cylinder, or heck even a small bottle.

Well there is the Cylinder from the FX....
Also there is the cylinder from HW100....
The thing you have to worry about, Making an appropriate adapter (1/4"bspp) so it cane
Screw the Cylinder into your Rapid Bottle adapter...
KevG has a tubed Rapid.. You may need to talk to Him!!

Good Luck,
Stuart

I have heard that there are a few BSA rifles as well that have a similar, if not the same, thread size as the Theobens.

I will have a look through KevG's section and see what I can find.  Really wish I still had my lathe to make some custom parts.

Tim_B has some pictures of some nice looking MFR's with smaller bottles.  And honestly something like that looks great!  Think I can start with that, just need to get a carbon cylinder and get playing.
