Hi fellas beginning to stress out with me friends mk1 rapid he wants it back to how it was i took the quick fill adaptor off and brought a new bottle valve from best fittings when i screw it onto the mk1 bottle holder the pin not pushing the bottle valve in it just screws on and off its doing my head in can some one please help ATB Fellas ;)
First check the Bottle adapter....
Is there a disk with a depressing pin inside it??
Or the Pin in the Bottle valve is too short...
So a New needs to be machined up!

Hi buddy this is the bottle holder its got a small pin it can be screwed in and out with Allan key at the back but even screwed out as far as i dare bottle just screws on and off the new valve i got from best fittings as in the second photo ATB
Back adjuster bottle holder from back :)
OK your bottle has got an MFR valve in it, not a standard valve.
look at the two bottles in Ca Varminters pic, MFR on left std rapid on right.
You need a std bottle valve to work with your std adapter push pin, because the MFR push pin is twice as long due to the O ring seal on it
Hi buddy were would i find the right valve from have you a link please the gun is doing my head in now cheers ATB Phil.
this is the pin out of back of bottle holder ATB
No it's the bottle valve ???
You have 2 choices,
1/ keep the MFR bottle valve & fit an MFR push pin (with or without a reg) but that is the wrong adaptor
2/ keep the mk1 adaptor & change the bottle valve from MFR type to std mk1/mk2 type.
Sorry on a closer look that threaded push pin is for the old schrader type valve as it has no centre hole so I'm not 100% it will work with a modern valve,
if it does it's this https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/fill-probes-adaptors/buddy-bottles-valves/best-fittings-buddy-bottle-valves-theoben-fitment/
Hi were would i get the proper bottle valve from cheers

Hi yes thats the valve i brought to fit to bottle as the bottle never had one fitted it had a quick fill fitted to it he wanted to have the rifle all standard how it should be ATB Thanks for your help buddy ;)
As I said look at the 2 bottles in Ca V's pic you can clearly see the 2 valves are different, & yours is the same as his on the left,
so either you mistakenly ordered the MFR type bottle valve, or they mistakenly sent you the MFR type.
Either way the bottle in your pic next to the adapter has got the wrong valve in it for that mk1 adapter.
Oh..Oh....
That bottle in my photo, the one with a large counterbore, recessed valve stem... is for an MFR!!!
That Valve you have... is made for an MFR Style Reg!!!!
