Title: Barrel ID
Post by: angrybear on January 19, 2026, 01:17:28 AM
Does anyone have a copy of the Barrel groove pattern pictures from the old R7OC ? I was sure there was a copy on here but I can't find it.

I've just noticed one of my barrels is a 6 groove where most are 12 groove.

6 groove could quite possibly be a Weihrauch, HW100 had in-house made 6 groove 16mm (ish)  o/d barrels until 2018-19 then they went to 12., gear cut

Sorry don't have the picture but I don't beleive that it is 100% accurate either.
I somnehow deleted the folder with all of my barrel pictures.

AFAIK BSA, Anshcutz and LW are all 12 groove

Hammered BSA looks like a candy twist lol  but the profile is even spaced square land and groove
Anshcutz is raised gear-cut very fine
LW is uneven, narrow groove, wider land..or was it the other way around. its in my profile pic.

did you win the auction?
1100 euros can't  be too bad for a rare bit of kit.
