Good morning, having just recently acquired a rapid mkii, it shot really nice, quite and produces some very tight pellet groups, I put it away for a few days, then took it out again to try , low grouping, took the bottle off
Nearly empty, bottle refilled then the tight groups returned, so decided to
Find the leak ,after first ringing Kev g ,we went through all the usual places that are likely to leak ,and Kev knew straight away that the gun had
The rarer regulator with the 7mm and 4mm x 1mm o rings on the core, anyway it was the reg leaking out of the small hole , having purchased the said o rings , out came the tool box 😆 ,and the best Chinese circling pliers ,I set about dismantling the reg ,i stripped it bare cleaned everything with brake cleaner, checked the core nose , gutted it's got a dimple in it , I replaced all the o rings , including the one under the pin disc,re assembled the reg , out came the reg tester, set the reg to 83 bar,no leaks 😄😄😄,but the reg started to creep 🤬🤬🤬😩,started to feel a bit deflated at the outcome , so I'm going to send it to Kev to sort 😄
He'll get it right for you.
I know KevG can handle this little reg problem...
It sounds the the core nose seal...
On mine after inserting it, I face it flat on my lathe.
Then do a final polish on it!
Good Luck,
Stuart
Well I re stripped the reg , and when I looked in side the reg body there was a scratch that was quite deep, so I just ordered a new reg from Kev , I've fitted it , and now I need to put a few pellets through it , shoots really nice at 11.4 ftlb , seems to be its sweet spot , happy days 👍👍
nice one m8
