just wanted to say that I removed the valve from the bottle by leaving it in some boiling water valve end first
for 10 minutes then held in vice sharp tap on the spanner and it came out easy
you were lucky Dave m8.some can be pigs.

I found the newer ones were only Torque down, No Loctite applied....
My answer to the Theoben Valve removal....
I had a client/friend lasercut a wrench out of Stainless.
That would fit the factory notches...
I also had him cut a square hole out so a 1/2" Breaker Bar would fit!!!

I used the Original bottle cap as the nut.
Also made a washer so the wrench was properly tighten to the Valve
