Hi
It's been ages since I've been on but wanted to share some niceness with a TTR stock that I bought recently.
I've spent some time stripping and refinishing, sourcing a rail recently too as the old one had been drilled :) through for a quick fill.
I started off with a black tinted walnut oil (Tesco) Then a brown tinted Phillips Walnut oil, followed by two clear coats. The finish is waxed for a bit of water resistance.
Longer term, I'm looking at a TTR lookalike, using my .20 MFR block with a .177 barrel (reg etc, set up to suit)
:)
The lighter, reddish, stick is before I worked on it.
Very nice! Looks great 😎
OOOOOoooo that`s a nice looking stock I'd be worried putting it on my gun just incase it got scratched in the woods
Thanks very much lads.
Kernal, I only benchrest most of the time so it might not even get wet, lol
Cracking looking stock, mine is one of SSS in a limited run colour. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of information on the TTR other than the model was a limited run but no one knows an accurate number made?
Looks Fantastic been after one on them for ages ATB :) ;)
