Title: Buddy botle valve
Post by: telbert on August 01, 2024, 07:17:37 PM
Im after a bit of assistance here please. Ive fitted a Best Fittings service kit to a rapid valve, it wouldnt take a fill from my tank until i unscrewed the grub screw a little. Now its full, ive put it on the rifle and it wont fill the chamber when i cock it. Firstly, whats tghe safest way to empty the bottle and secondly, what did i do wrong in the first place?
 TIA

Well it sounds like the Bottle Valve's Pip is too short
I have heard of this problem with the BF Valves..

To empty is going to be a problem.. it will take a bottle holder fitting with a longer Depressing pin!!
You can try a small plastic spacer to gain some length... also remove the neck O-ring, to allow the air pressure to be released..
If in doubt talk  to KevG about this!!!

Good Luck,
Stuart

Thanks, Im going to try a very small piece of carbon fibre rod as a spacer without the O ring. If that doesnt work ill give Kev G a call .

If you've got a spare bottle adaptor you could unscrew the pip a few turns and SLOWLY screw it on to see if that will open it
