Post by: bob4026 on July 24, 2024, 09:00:59 PM
Hi everyone,

Anyone know how to strip out a Theoben moderator for cleaning?

Id even consider having the internals replaced as it's not as quiet as i'd like tbh.

Reckon to have had a look but I cant find owt...

On the old Evo Moderator...
Screw off the endcap, dry fire(NO PELLET) into a pile of rags
ON a FAC/Export, the internal baffles shoots it right out... on a 12 fpe might take a couple of dry shots...

Good Luck,
Stuart

The baffle is usually epoxied into the barrel end cap...if it doesn't 'shoot' out put the mod in the freezer for 20 minutes.
That will shrink the plastic baffle and make the epoxy brittle.
Then insert a 1/2" dowel and give the baffle a sharp tap
