Title: Awt mfr moderator
Post by: rye_1977 on July 17, 2024, 09:39:19 PM
Good evening...my mfr has an awt silencer (as I bought it) and was just wondering if many were made specifically for the mfr 🤔 it really does the job well so I won't be changing. The only ones I ever see for sale seem to be for a std type barrel set up.

Attached is a pic with a neoprene cover attached....although I've now taken it off.

Cheers m8. I never see any on evilbay so must be few and far between.

I've got one sat here,  :)
when I first shot the rifle I thought I'd failed to cock it until I heard the pellet impact  8)

Also, isn't the finish on these different to the norm. It looks like the crosshatch honing on an engine cylinder.

they're made from 38mm Tufflex conduit which is shiny UPVC, easier /more aesthetic to make the cross hatch than scuff lengthways or rotationally....I've tried
I'd even hazzard that it reduces surface distortion when they soak up the heat on a sunny day.

I've got one of these that slips over the shroud on my MFR. I've had it for longer than I can remember. It certainly does the job.

Must be honest I don't like the look of them, so I made a little carbon reflex number which works rather well.

this mod on my S-Type has an AWT baffle in it, I put a few shots over the chrono regularly because it's quiet enough not to be able hear if it is down on power.
