Title: Broken .25 outer probe
Post by: etiam viviens on March 07, 2024, 12:00:41 PM
I have converted an .20 rapid to .25 and was very happy with it. But noticed that the probe had some play.

After dismantling the probes found it broken and was surprised by this.
After measuring I found out that the material thickness at the base is about 0.35 mm. Thought this was very thin as my .20 and .22 probes are 1.0 mm and 1.2 thick at the base.

Was wondering if someone has seen this before.

Have contacted Dr Bob as he supplied the .25 probe. Did not hear from him yet.

Yes that is Very thin..
Since the is some pressure on the part when you lock down the bolt...
This creates the seal....
I bet this just got by Dr Bob's Machinist.
Dr Bob will make it right!!

Hi Stuart.

It's only been a week since they have managed to get my heart back into rhythm. I've only been managing a couple of hours a day but things are looking good.
