Hi,
Sorry in advance that my reply isn't helpful to your search for a 19" barrel.

I'm just curious - What are the advantages of a 19" barrel at sub 12 ft/lb?

I feel asking the question, I might learn something. As I was always under the impression that a longer barrel at sub 12 ft/lb made little if any any difference.

Thanks in advance
Chris

In sub 12fpe Rapids....Not many advantages ..if any...
The big disadvantage is the extended dwell time of the pellet in the barrel..
This can cause pulled shots..increase group sizes!!

Thankyou for the reply & Confirming my thoughts.

I couldn't work out what benefit it would give to have a longer barrel at sub 12 ft/lb. Otherwise I expect Theoben would have fitted one. Lol

Thanks again & sorry for intruding on the thread.
I hope you manage to find a 19" barrel if that is what you want.

Thanks.

The only sub-12 production Rapids that I can think of with a 19" barrel were the S-type and TTR-1.
S-types aren't all that common, probably less so in sub-12 .22 and TTRs are few and far between in 177 let alone .22.

Probably £1300-1500  retail for an S-type and £1600-1800 for a TTR.

Good luck with your search.

Easier to buy a std 16" then look for a replacement barrel,
but seeing as it's a rave from the grave post I'm guessing he's sorted  ;D
as it happens I've got a 19" barrel on my .22 shoots very nicely thank you.
