Title: Fenman Scope ?
Post by: Big Stu on April 28, 2023, 08:30:28 AM
Best scope recommendations for an older style beencan moded Fenman .22

Currently waiting for the piston return after repair and I'm on the lookout for a decent scope model from this period early 90s with 1" tube

Can remember Tasco & Simmons being popular around this time
I've also got a set of period riser inserts so large objective isn't an issue

Whitetail classic for me. 3-9x40 or 3-9x50 if your mounts allowed enough clearance. Or even a little 1.5-5x20 Whitetail classic.

The 3-9x40 is quite rare, most are the x50

Quite lucky this one turned up on the agf quite reasonably priced given some costs I've seen
It's bit rough in one or two places on the outside graphite coatings chipped just cosmetic and as with most you can clearly see where it's had rings fitted previously definitely what you would call a used scope

Managed to get it re-parallax without any issues always over looked them as a young lad and preferred Tasco not so sure now though this one is cracking little scope
