Went to my nearest perm today, the grain store is overun with rats.
Its got a load of rejected wheat that is destined for ethanol.
The rats are running along the gutter channels and coming in via the roof. :(
So armed with the S-type clone I set up in the basket of a cherry picker and start picking off rats as they are climbin up and down the uprights and along the H-beams.
Nailed three in the first minutes then.....a faint pshhhhh.
Ahh bugger ..bottle o-ring. Swapped the bottle and all went quiet.
Shot the first rat on the new bottle......pshhhh.
Back out of the cherry picker, took the stock off - bit of spit on the reg body and theres a slow leak from the breather.
Ended the session with 25 rats less in the barn and just over 100bar in the bottle when I got home.
The reg has been resealed and reset- how long for this time I don't know but I'm going back again tomorrow for another bash.

Ohhh dear ... but atleast its all sorted now
Lol, just getting it off my chest.
A Victor Meldrew day, 45 minutes in queues to go 4 miles twice no problem,, shooting wagon overheats- no problem.
a troublesome reg fails (again) after 100 shots.....2x 8p o-rings....end of the world.
Would that have been made by the usual eblag culprit ?
Yeah, one of those.
replaced the core nose after success on the other one and this was the third time a core o-ring failed. Can't find a burr or a scratch ???
is there a bur in the reg body around were it narrows down were the small oring on the core as to push through, maybe snaging oring, shortening it's life

Too be honest Kev even thought its potentially self defeating I'm loathe to take it apart again.
No sign of a burr after checkin the bottle holder with a cotton bud.
If (or when) it goes again I'll go to town on it.
maybe it's a rough finish on the bore we're one of the two orings sit and run

A possibility to check, considering it only lasted around 100 shots....I'm 2 mags from the next reseal.
Answer is always take a nice shooting sprinter/rammer for back up

Or another Rapid ;D
which of the 2 orings keep failing, I would concentrate on that area.
