I was looking for a .20 barrel and got offered a .20 Anschütz barrel that was original Theoben
Thought all barrels in .20 were LW, so I am wondering if this is true.
Hope someone knows on this forum
As far as I know there are Weirhauch, Anschutz and Walther barrels in .20. I'm not sure about the Rapid, but when the Mark 2 was in the early production stages they had an Anschutz trigger unit like mine, but I don't know about the barrel, I bought my .20 barrel later and it's a Walther.
The 20 and .25 was the odd calibers back in the days....
So Anschutz was not tooled up to produce them!!
So the only supplier in volume was LW!!

According the seller they (Anschütz) made an small batch of .20 for Ben as a test. It was brought back from the UK long ago and has no prove butt I asked for some foto's
So I am looking through the Internet if someone evermention the .20 barrels from Anschütz.
Well with Theoben with Beeman's backing...
Dr Beeman was a Big influence on the Adopting the .20 cal to the masses.
Anshutz was approached.. a Small run was done...
BUT these barrel weren't for sale to the general PUBLIC!!!
just some special orders......etc...

The Seller is indeed talking that 50 barrels where made and the were not intended for sale butt for special items. They are also ment for FAC rifles.
So they do exist, that is nice to hear.
Wondering if they are better than LW
I would doubt that the Anschutz is any better than the LW, mine is superbly accurate and that's all a barrel needs to be. But if you can get one, make sure you don't bend it! ;D
I got some pictures of the barrel, I was tolded I should look for the typical anschütz knife like land and groove.
I do not seems them here, I thing.
What would the value be of this barrel.
Was wondering if this has extra value above an LW barrel or a Silco barrel.
That is Lother Walther rifling. It isn't Anschutz I'm afraid. These are the differing rifling land shapes for most popular air rifle barrels.
Thanks for the info

Yes,..Anschutz supplied BTAS with 19inch .20 barrels as Ben touted the calibre as the perfect solution for power and flat trajectory etc,...I have one on an Anschutz Rapid ,..its very very pellet fussy and typical to Ben/Theoben it has no finished crown to speak of. The barrels are choked and typical good Anschutz quality.
All Rapid .20 barrels are pellet fussy ;) either FTT's or Exacts/premiers never both, I've got one of each on my .20 rifles.
yes,..it drove me nuts early on: ended up with HN Barracuda shooting pellet on pellet so bought a shit ton from same batch 15yrs agao and still working my way thru them
