Title: New Rules for all UK Airgun Owners
Post by: samsquanch on February 23, 2023, 10:54:40 AM
as of 10th February the law on keeping airguns at home has changed. All airguns must now be stored out of sight in a locked cabinet (doesnt state gun safe) and kept separate from  pellets. No more, keeping your favourite airgun on display or leaving your goto ratter behind the kitchen door. there's upto £1000 fines involved now.
Nice of our Gov' to let us all know about these changes.  >:(

point being, it came into effect on the 10th Feb 2023. Obviously all the legal preperations/consultations/reports/tests/etc needed to be done prior to 10th feb 2023. Thats how time works mate. Back to the future wasnt a documentary.... :) ;)

That Document was published on 27 Jan 2011, it says so at the top.
the 10th of Feb referred to was 10th Feb 2011.
The minister named in the report, James Brokenshire DIED in Oct 2021.

And if you own an air gun you should know that the requirement to lock it away to prevent access by under 18's was already in place.

Didn't know of that, if you have a few air guns could be a problem.
