my FAC reg is being a pain again.
I took the gun out for a pre-spring shake down and zero check.
There was some vertical stringing after a short period of rest.
Originally set to 140bar. 6x 0.5 belvilles (()) ((
Core nose was replaced last year and float set at 0.45mm.
On the tester it's straight in at 130 bar and creeping to 150.
I checked and reset the end float which reduced the creep.
Whatever I try 130 is the magic number before creeping..
Reducing the end float.. lowers the reg pressure
Increasing the reg pressure makes it creep.
What next?
Re-re-re checked, tightened up the endfloat by 2 knurls of collar
Now initially recharges at 120 bar and creeps to 130 bar over 2 hours.
Don't seem able to lose the 10bar creep.
Kevg is the man :)
have you tryed checking and polishing the sealing end of the push pin disc,if the core sealing face looks good

In one respect I'm loathe to take it apart again Kev,
Maybe tomorrow .. ::)

yes ..well...barely finger tight won't help which may explain the variations.
Also the nose of the pp disc doesn't appear to be central,
I'll see if I can get the pin in a collet and at least square the face up.
squared up on a 5k stone
just needs reassembly and set up.
ooh..
is that the set pressure you want and is it holding set pressure

it's close Kev, 140bar was the target.
couple of bar creep over night but recharges to 140 instantly now.
Will give it another 24hrs to see if there is any more but I can live with 1-2% provided it doesn't get higher.
plus the reg was set out in the shed 10-11 degrees and its 19 degrees in here
Pressure changes 0.3bar per degree if I remember correctly
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction 8)
