Title: MFR Shroud Extension Question
Post by: kena on December 26, 2022, 10:58:44 PM
Gents, could anyone tell me what was fitted inside the standard MFR shroud extension/moderator as supplied by Theoben. Did they have baffles, what shape was the end cap, any idea what the thread size is
Thanks in advance
Ken

I honestly don't know the internals of the MFR Shroud Extension...
But it Does replace the stock Endcap of the shroud...
But KevG does make is own version...
So he should know the threading and internals of the Stock one....

There's nothing inside, it's a tube, unscrew the end cap, screw-on the extra length, refit the end cap to the extension.

The original end cap has a 'cone & tube' inside as a sort of baffle, but frankly they work better if you cut that off,
what does need doing is to open up the muzzle support to allow much more air back around the barrel, which is known as the "Hurwitt" modification.
