Hello All,
Working through a GSX100 I've just picked up.
Outwardly in very good nick with a hint of bodgery inside .
The barrel......
Strange one this. Seems to shoot well enough when I first tried the rifle .
But now I've had the block apart for a clean up thought I would rod a pellet through.
Alls ok until we reach the end where we get to the choke which is initially as you expect with a bit of resistance then we come to what feels like a ridge .
Almost like the very end has been peened over .
Pic shows end of barrel with pellet at point where the ridge is.
Is this some kind of crown or is it a bit suspect ?
Some might say if it shoots ok leave it but cannot help thinking it's having some impact on accuracy/energy.
Any advice /info welcome.
Thanks,
Vard.
Can you see anything, that looks odd.md
Am yet to get the magnifying glass on it but it definitely feels too restricted just as the pellet head reaches the very end of the barrel.
I would try giving it a good polish out with autosol,it won't get rid of the ridge but it may smooth things out a little.would be careful though if its shooting ok already

I may have a go with the Autosol Kev but I'm worried about keeping any polishing concentric.
If I can find some way of rigging it up so I can rotate the barrel at same time might give it a go.
