Back with another rapid, and yet again finding the 400cc buddy bottle too heavy.
This time though, its a mk2 with a mk4 trigger and I really like the trigger.
Are there any current options for a tube conversion?
Has anyone used any of the FX tubes?
Shot count isn't any kind of priority
If I don't get a steer for a tube, I'll end up going with a 200cc bottle I reckon. But I really would prefer a tube.
Thanks
just fitted a HW tube to my MK2 Rob.not the lightest but looks good.
Hi Jim
Was that a full length or carbine tube?
And guessing a factory tube with you mentioning the weight.
Whats the measurement from the front end of the tube to the face of the block Jim?
What bottle fitting did you use Jim?
Thanks Rob
If weight is the driving factor Rob, then you may want to consider a 300cc Inacom bottle - not the BF bottles as they are not light, but the Inacoms are. I don't know the weight compared to a 200cc, but it could be another option.
The cylinders don't come up very often, so there may be a company who would convert one for you?

Cheers Tim.
For now I've just ordered a 200cc bottle to get some immediate weight off, but I may contact someone about making a tube.
Hi Rob, the tube is full length, it measures 14" to the block, the adaptor came with it and was made by Mr Bond from the AGF who I am sure you know, it has got a Huma reg in the tube that I have got running at 65 bar seems very consistent but only just fitted it so will be testing it at the club on thursday,I have got a couple of 200cc bottles spare if you need one mate.
There are many configurations/ Options to Consider..
With-without valve.
With-without internal reg
Also how it connects to your Rapid... using the existing bottle adapter/reg
Or attaching directly to your Rapid.
Also what material it is constructed from...
Aluminum
Steel
Titanium
So do your homework on how you want it which setup matches your needs!
I went with a full Titanium Tube, screw directly in the receiver.

Impact gsx tube and stock - I was very lucky to find both as new - makes for a light rapid 👍
similar to Dazes
KevG
How are you doing Kev?
I had that stock that you sold Vard a couple of years ago. The one with the bung in the gauge hole, and managed to buy it from Vard, along with a genuine GSX100 tube.
Like a dick, I let them go when I sold my rapid. The Robin on here has them now.
Just fitted a 200cc bottle to my rapid, so the weight issue is sorted. I'll still keep looking for another tube though. As it only a bunny rifle, shot count isn;t important. I have a compressor and no hassle to charge before every trip if needed.
I may be onto you at some point. This one I have is .22 and I'd far rather shoot .177, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for a barrel.

Hi Daz.
Nice find.
Had them both for a while - they are hens teeth , they just never come up for sale .... mine is fitted with the RAW regulator with air gauge collar - same as the impact gsx

Hey up Rob,
I've just had a .177 HW100 barrel machined by Kev to fit a rapid.
They are a good snug fit in the block , already blued and screwcut, could be an option for you.
I get them from Knibbs .
Had a.22 done and it's Bob on .
Yet to give the .177 a good try out

Hi mate.
Let me know how you get on with that .177 barrel will you?
Was that one that was a direct fit for a 100, or a blank, and what length? Cheers
It was a direct fit for the HW100.
You get 14 inch in length with the barrel if you don't have it sleeved as the barrel has a portion turned down to fit into the HW100 action.
You won't have a problem with a 280 cc bottle using a for example Hw mod but if you used a 400 cc would need a mod with a taper end .
Will see if i can get some pics up .

I have a HW100 177 barrel on my air-miser mk2, it was full length (600mm) trimmed to 19".
Bought it from SWS in Germany before Brexit was £117 before sending it up to Kev for porting.
They're close to 16mm- 15.85 >15.99 one might go into a block and the next only go in halfway.
It shoots well with Barracuda FT, Match and Premier 10.5s
