Had a play with scope and zero out to 50yrds could put a pellet through a pellet on range then Friday night comes I'm shooting over majority of rats ranges vary so much what's everyone else found been sweet spot to set zero at?

On rats, much closer than 50 yards. Also, try to range where you'll be shooting in the day, and get to know the distances from your shooting position. Rats can be so scatty, that by the time you've used a range finder, the opportunity has already gone. As you are looking through the scope you should be able to know that if a rat pops out near something it's, say, 15 yards, oh look another further back, near something else, its 25 yards. Something in the middle, split the difference.

Yeh I get that farm I was shooting at is huge plenty of sheds long rat runs were spotting with thermal but some are 50+ it's not an option always to try and get closer hense zeroing at 50 gonna wind back to 30 I think
