Well, here is my pension. https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/19892388.mj-autos-bedford-street-bradford-gutted-fire/
I started there in 1979 bought it around 1984 finished paying in 1994 then leased it out. The shit that was in owed me £10,000 in back rent, but because of the Covid rent rules, I couldn't touch him. He decided to fill it full of tyres and torch it instead. He has been arrested and charged, but let out on bail. Because of threats he made to me under police caution I have been given a panic alarm that is straight through to police control and the fire service have fitted 8 smoke alarms in my house and sealed off the letter box. My wife who suffered from anxiety is now totally paranoid . Full CCTV is being fitted next week. Planing control issued me with a dangerous building notice, so it is now a pile of rubble and I have a bill for £11,495 for the privilege. Needless to say I am a little behind getting my orders out but they are going out. I'm finished with anything to do with the motor trade and Bradford City Centre .I think a nice little industrial unit out of town with an engineering company in it is called for.
Bob
Here it is now.
I hope you were insured Bob.
I am so Sorry for the situation you are in!!
The renter is a jerk!!!
Beware of a Vendetta!!
Stuart
Bloody awful that Bob, the law always seems to be with the tenants never the landlord! 😩
Yes I'm insured but the loss adjusters are being absolute b@stards. Because of the rapid inflation of building materials the rebuild value has gone up £25,000 since renewal last year so they are saying I'm under insured and want to knock the claim down by 20%. I'm also covered for loss of revenue. They say that's calculated on the previous 12 months income. So that's £3,000 not £13,000 as he owed £10,000. They have picked on the wrong guy trust me.
Bob.

The insurance ombudsman is the go to if you are having problems. I bet the company were quite happy to take your premiums. Also be aware that if it goes to court and you are awarded compensation this amount will be deducted from any insurance payout.
Bloody hell Bob that's just awful. I really hope you can get this sorted out and Fran can take the stress. I simply can't believe that they don't lock the jerk up for what he's done and is doing, it beggars belief that people like him can walk the Earth.
What a crap situation......sorry to hear this Bob.
Glad you have your fighting boots on and won't let them walk all over you.
