Title: MFR with IA tube
Post by: Daztilley on May 26, 2020, 05:41:45 PM
Thought I'd like an air tube on my MFR- just to reduce the weight a bit - then I saw KevG had done the same with a rapid but in a gsx100 stock - I thought ... that looks really good 😎
Managed to find a used gsx 100 stock 👍
Pic below (hopefully)

That is very nice Daz.
It never seems to amaze me as to how versatile the rapid block can be when it comes to a project.
You have got me going now I must start a rapid project of my own now.

Yep they are so modular mate 👍
It all started when I was offered an IA  120cc airtube.....
The block already had a RAW regulator with gauge collar - it all fits perfectly into the gsx100 stock 👍 the Bucket Boy carbon shroud really sets it off 😎

Aww FFS this is so unfair...  ;D
More damn temptation  :-[

Lovely gun Daz,, Im am really liking these GSX stocked rapids with tubes rather than bottles.

My next Rapid which will probably be .177 will defo be going this route and the CS800 will be going in the loft

Thanks Scott- yep thought about doing it ages ago - like the tube 👍
Started off in a rapid stock with the tube but managed to find a gsx 100 stock on another forum and thought - that would be a good idea and its worked out really well 👍
Looks good with the BB carbon shroud too 👍

I was just copying the gsx 100 mate - with the reg/gauge and quickfill tube I think its a brilliant setup 👍

Its either 13 " or 14" can't remember mate - very quiet though and with the ssg fitted I'm getting a SD of 1 fps at 11.5 ft/lb

What sort of shot count with the tube Daz? and in what calibre?
Cheers

I am hoping to do the same kind of thing with a MK1 Rapid. Will be very happy if it turns out half as nice as that Daz. Might need some advice from people on this forum though. Really good looking gun mate. Atb Ken.

Thanks Ken 👍 Its a really good design - it can be changed back to a normal rapid with buddy bottle in under 5 mins - just unscrew the tube , remove the stock , change the stock for a rapid one , screw on the buddy bottle 👍😎
