Now i`ve noticed and i`m not sure if anyone else has noticed this but if you position your butt pad in the wrong place on your shoulder it will make your point of aim out,

So my question is what`s the best butt pad to have on your stock as i`m sure this must have happened to allot of people dunno!


even though right now i have a rat down in my back garden  ;D

Well when I help at my friend's gun shop.
You saw a bit of everything...
In the case of the Newbies, it was always back the basics of how to hold a gun...
For a rifle, the support points...
Solid Forearm grip: pulling the gun to your shoulder
Solid Cheek weld to the Comb of the stock
Firm plant of the Butt-Pad into the shoulder:
Then light squeeze on the Grip

For the actual Placement of the butt-pad to your shoulder...
Basically on a well fitted stock.
The Butt-pad should be square to your shoulder..
Not too low, so that most of the butt-pad is sticking down below your armpit.
But not so high that a major part of the butt-pad is in the Air!!

Practice doe help it become second nature!!

BTW one gun that was Very sensitive to how you gripped it and it needed a firm cheek weld..
The Eliminator/Crow Magnum!!!!
