Through a casual conversation about something different I found out a person had a .25 barrel for sale with moderator. Cold hammered rifling and no choke so with a bit of luck it will shoot the JSB knock out accurate.
Was wonder if there are people are shooting slugs with a theoben and do they are having good results.
I know a couple who shoot slugs in .22 calibre with very good results the key is to use unchoked barrels.

Yep, I have a .25 Mk2 with standard LW barrel (albeit choke removed). I use JSB KO & H&N 36 gr (.250) with a good degree of success at speeds of around 910-925 fps. I have used this gun on paper targets out to 200 yds, as well as fur targets out at 100 yds or so. Personally I am not convinced that removing the choke is even necessary, as I found the gun to be accurate with NSA 36.2 gr before I had the choke removed.
Tried some slugs in .22 Theoben and was surprised by the results compared with my HW100
.22 knock-outs 53 joule 253 ms
.22 JSB monsters 56 joule 262 ms
Hw100
.22 knock-out 28 joule 185 ms
.22 JSB monsters 47 joule 234 ms
seems the barrel of the HW100 is tighter and has a heave choke.
did not go to the range but of both guns the speed was constant.
more to do with power as regards to removing choke.a tight choke robs a fair bit of power with the slugs

Rapid and slugs is a minefield that I enjoy walking through for now.
The original Rapid 24 inch barrel was ok I then had an FX superior barrel made this is great with heavey pellets and fx hybid slugs, i then had a Polygon unchoked barrel machined to fit, this allows the slugs to get to some good speed's on a free flow set up and KevG internals however I hate unregulated FAC rifles.
H&N 21g 1010 ft/sec
FX Hybrid 22g 989 ft/sec
Zan 23g 975 ft/sec
JSB Knockout 25.39 935 ft/sec
And for a giggle H&N 30g 875 ft/sec
Best groups at 70 were FX 22g, JSB 25,39g and the H&N 30g.
I ran unregged just to see what could be acheived with the set up Im now regulated again but withough my pre chamber fitted as ive fitted a QF
The drop in speed is a fair amount showing how little air is avalible within the block, front and bottom pre chambers are back on my list.
FX Hybrid are running 922 ft/sec regulated and are the best from the list above with this regulated setup.
The games continue for now lol
I wonder how the Raw Hm1000x will do with slugs 'real world' not YouTube it should be able to produce sufficient oomph to get them going and have unchoked poly barrels
Well the American's seem to like um ..sub inch groups at 100 yrds ;D
