I had a problem today with air leaking out the barrel so I changed al the seals. The size I have for the tail seal on the valve body is 4.1 x 1.6mm. Is this the correct size as it was very difficult to fit. Is there a tool similar to the mfr push pin seal tool that would make this job easier?
PS: I cured the leak.
yes they are a little tough to fit.but only need to be ni70.if they are ni90 they would be very hard to get on.i don't bother with a tool as its easy enough with out m8.

There must be a knack to it Kev as I found it very difficult. Make me a tool please, I like an easy life.
I find the plastic toothpicks from Sainsburys very handy for digging out seals ;)

A little Lube helps in a tight squeeze!!
I always apply a little Molykote on my O-ring whin I fit Them!!
Make them more pliable...
Then just start on ones side, roll it over the edge with your Thumb!

You could also try heating the O ring up a LITTLE bit.
50 - 60 degrees will make it much more flexible.
Apply Molykote affter.
Be aware excessive heat for a sustained period WILL harden it, not soften.

could make a tube but to be honest will be nearly as hard getting it on the tool as the valve tail.70 shaw should go on ok.

Are you are have trouble installing that Valve-body tail O-ring???
Here is a little tool I just turn on my Lathe...
Valve-Body Tail O-ring installation Tool....
I made it out black Delrin.
Front end is turned down to the same size as a Valve-stem's Stem.
The Back end is the same diameter as the Tail of the Valve-body, but with a a gentle 5° taper on the end
So just slide the small end into the tail of the Valve-body.
Then grease up a tail O-ring and slip over the tapered end of the tool.
Then just roll her home!!

I only use D90A (hard) O-rings in my rapids!
