I couldn't find a lefty Raw sporter stock for my HM1000 so I decided to make one.
I bought some second hand carving tools and a piece of Cherry wood last year and made a stock for my HW100K which turned out ok so I bought a piece of Walnut and set about making a stock for the RAW. The only power tools used were a chordless drill to bulk out the inletting and a pillar drill for the trigger cutout and the mounting hole, the rest was carved by hand.
It's a learning process but really pleased with how it turned out.
You have done one hell of a job there with the basic tools a stock which many a rapid owner would like fitted to his action.
Good on you for getting out the tools.
Regards kev.
Some nice work there. Do you take commissions.
Good God Matt that`s some really nice work you`ve done there,....Really , really nice work good on you Matt,
:)
Thanks guys, really appreciate the positive comments. It's a lot of work without a router/bandsaw etc but very rewarding and also nerve wracking at times

I could possibly make another stock, depending on what was wanted but it would take quite a while as I work long hours during the week.
If you keep going Mattb.
We will be adding you to the stock section lol.
Hope all goes well.

Stock without the action
A cracking job as I said before and you only had basic hand tools.
A good choice of wood also may I say.
Regards kev.
Thanks,it was a lucky find on eBay. Any ideas for a supplier of reasonable quality blanks Kev?
