I would be interested to hear of anybody's first hand experiences with the new RAW air rifles.
I've watched the YouTube propaganda but would like to hear from people who aren't motivated to sell them!
Me too I want a hm1000x chassis but there a lot of money
I think I will stick to my rapids they have stood the test of time and there is very little you cant do with them.
Regards kev.
they are good rifles but abit hit and miss regarding the varying quality of fitted parts.the HM seams better than the TM as had to make a few hammer mods on the later.the run out on some of the hammers is terrible.also there is a part on the reg that is for the high power American Market and not so good for sub ftlbs.but that can easily be sorted.af the moment no one is importing them.second hand is your best bet at the moment

I read that since they were bought out the quality has dropped
Also like the look of the chassis, tempted to buy just the stock & quick fill adapter
even early ones had problems.but these are competition shooters we are talking about.if their gun chucks a pellet 1mm of at 25 yrds they are wanting their gun looked at.they expect very high standards

Interesting comments and a bit off putting but appreciated. I guess it's hard to beat the long standing Rapid platform.
Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase spares directly from RAW
It must be possible but I've failed at every attempt☹️
Why would you need to ring raw when you have KevG/Stuart/DrBob all on here who may be able to help you out.
Just a thought.

I don't think Raw will ship direct now that OW have the dealership - they cancelled a couple of peoples chassis order recently, which kind of says it all.
For me, I love my rapids and find them hard to beat but if you are looking for a RAW beater with side lever then I would seriously consider going down the HW100 route and converting it to a buddy bottle rifle. if you say you can pick up a HW100 secondhand for around £500 and then source a BB converter from wither Dr Bob or another source...then the stock. I bet you wouldn't be far of £1000, which would be under half price of a new raw.....

Didn`t raw - Theoben give up on us all in the UK and took frosty Knickers with them! LOL
Just saying,
;)
I'm not sure if this totally relates to this thread, but I'll throw it out there anyway... I just bought a .177cal HM1000x directly from Martin and received it about a month ago. In general, the quality of the rifle is excellent, and it was tuned per my requests. The trigger is phenomenal!!! I guess the only questionable quality issue has to do with the crown of the poly barrel. It looks fairly poor in my opinion, but this is my first poly barrel so I have no experience to go on. I sent Martina a picture and he said it's typical of how the barrels are finished. I'd be curious to see what earlier poly barrel crowns look like. If anyone could post a picture, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
thats not the best looking crown...wot does it group like ?

I have one the quality is excellent this is the consistency this accuracy is ridiculous
is the barrel screwcut or the shroud?
It is inside a carbon tube and has aluminium section with a 1/2 unf thread not actually screwcut . I would guess this is for the uk market as the us barrel set are longer and have a reflex mod bonded to them
