Title: Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine
Post by: Kernal on December 06, 2020, 08:45:42 AM
Pfizer gears up for mass rollout of Covid-19 vaccine as the U.K. approves emergency use,

Pfizer workers are gearing up for a mass rollout of the company's Covid-19 vaccine. The United Kingdom became the first country to approve Pfizer's vaccine. "I'm just so, so pleased that, you know, 2020 has been just awful and 2021 is going to be better. And help is on its way," said Matt Hancock, the U.K.'s Health Secretary. Pfizer's vaccine has yet to receive emergency use approval in the United States, but officials anticipate vaccinating 100 million Americans by the end of February 2021. I'm not having the vaccine.
It's not been tested. It takes years to create and test a vaccine. Not months.
I'll wait n see what happens to those that have it.
Hope they will be okay.

I'm dubious about the vaccine, it's been developed very quickly.

From what I gather as a 50-something with no health issues...  I'll be well down the list for inoculation. So there's going to be plenty of  time for side effects to surface and the one shot vaccines to be developed and tested further.

With my mother and her husband in their 80s and currently helping to care for a neighbour in her 90s; I'd hope they might be successfully inoculated so that at least I can go about looking after them without fear of bumping them off.

I'll take my chances with the vaccine. I know 5 who have died with it, 4 of them younger and possibly fitter than me

Got to agree with KevG. I`m pushing seventy and my wife has heart failure(70%), so for us it`s got to be better than catching covid. Lost an uncle at the weekend with it, and a shooting friend a couple of months ago with it, also have two cousins, younger than us,  in hospital with it. I`m afraid it`s getting really frightening now so I`ll take my chance with the vaccine. PLEASE be careful, and if you have older relatives think of them before visiting.  ATB Ken.

My wife works in a hospital (palliative care) she cant wait for the vaccine, along with her colleagues. They're  tired of all the stresses this pandemic has caused. I too will have the vaccination, I've got asthma and bronchiectasis also just been diagnosed with a rare bug in my lung too. Interestingly every time I've mentioned covid to my chest specialist he sort of dismisses it. Says I have age on my side (40) end of the day I don't want it! Be glad when some sort of normality is restored!

A friend of mine spent years on the police force as a detective. He was looking forward to retirement in June 2020 but caught Covid in May and spent a month in ITU on a ventilator. He made it, but even now he can't walk for more than 5 minutes. Retirement potentially ruined, selling the camper van and confined to the home. I bet he wishes he'd had a vaccine if it had been out.
The vaccine they have has been properly tested on tens of thousands of people on a constant rotation shift pattern. Just because they had to up the test rate due to the seriousness of the issue doesn't mean it wasn't correctly verified.
Think about it this way, a lot of people buy 100 burgers from Farm Foods for £9.99, then wonder what's in a vaccine!

I would take the vaccine.  My parents are aged and infirm and my brother has his immune system switched off. I see the vaccine as a way for me to see my family without putting them at risk. We all have our views and reasons for those views, these are just mine, I do not mean to judge with these comments.  Take care all, we will get through this.  Gudge

Now whats haopening with this covid new strain,

Boris Johnson is on the brink of cancelling Christmas for millions of people today amid rising fears about a 'highly contagious' mutant form of coronavirus ripping through the south of England,

The PM has summoned an emergency press conference this afternoon after holding crisis talks with Cabinet - with signs that swathes of the home counties, including London, will be shifted up to a new 'Tier 4'.

That bracket will potentially include closing non-essential shops and travel restrictions including 'stay at home' order for Christmas Day itself, even though Mr Johnson insisted just days ago that five-day festive 'bubbles' would go ahead.

The extraordinary U-turn would cause fury among families that have already made plans, booked travel and bought food for reunions.

It follows talks between ministers on how to contain the mutant strain, which is so far thought to have been confined largely to the South East. The PM also spoke to the cabinet on a phone call shortly after 1pm, while Michael Gove has held talks with the devolved administrations.

Speculation had already been mounting that England will have to follow Wales and Northern Ireland in announcing a draconian crackdown for after Christmas.

The Welsh government broke ranks with the rest of the UK by scaling back Christmas bubbles, in effect from December 23 to 27, from three to two households. It is thought bubbles will still be permitted in Tiers 1-3 in England.

All 32 london boroughs and city of london,

Boris Johnson dramatically cancelled Christmas for millions of people today as he hit the panic button on a rampant new mutant strain of coronavirus.

At an emergency press conference, the PM announced that a third of England, including London and swathes of the home counties, will be shifted up to a brutal new 'Tier 4' from midnight.

Well it is happening everywhere....
California in the middle of a major Lockdown....

On the Pfizer Front...
It seems all the 50 states were informed by the government of a Major Shortage
on the second shipment of the Vaccines.

Trumpie's government blames Pfizer on a supply shortage!
Well Pfizer countered, There warehouse has million of doses in deep freeze...
With NO Orders to ship them ANYWHERE!!

So we are seeing about 3000 dead souls a day.... no vaccines in sight!!!!!!!!!
A very Sorry Situation!!

Britain could be free of tight Covid restrictions by the end of February, after Ministers pinpointed the 15 million people who would need vaccinations to end the cycles of crippling lockdowns.

With the 'game-changing' Oxford jab expected to be approved within days, the Government hopes that enough doses will soon be available to inoculate those most vulnerable to coronavirus within weeks.

Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi told The Sun that approval would likely be granted on Monday, with plans to roll out jabs to the entire country starting January 4, according to The Telegraph.

Sports stadiums and conference centres would be comandeered to help the effort, with ministers planning to have 2million jab administered within a fortnight.

Writing in today's Mail on Sunday, Chancellor Rishi Sunak says the Covid breakthroughs – combined with the newly minted post-Brexit trade deal with the EU – signalled an optimistic new era for the UK.

Hailing the 'early roll-out of vaccines and the incredible work of our scientists and NHS', Mr Sunak pledges that next year will be the first in a 'new era of global Britain'. He also hopes to consign the rancour of the Brexit feuds to history, writing: 'In 2021 we won't be Remainers or Leavers – only believers in Britain.'

The Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency could authorise the vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca as early as New Year's Eve.

Why are people judging the covid 19 vaccine,

Dr Fauci receives his first Covid-19 vaccine live on TV,

If you listen closely to the comment in the video it say`s if Dr Fauci get`s the vaccine i`m going to get the vaccine,...why are they pushing it?
I would have thought people would be flooding for the vaccine not waiting for someone who they all know and trust to have it first!,.......very odd if you ask me.

Please take the time to watch the video and have your say on it, because after watching this i`m not so sure what to do!

Boris Johnson is set to unveil a brutal new national lockdown tonight in a desperate bid to keep the mutant coronavirus at bay while vaccines are rolled out - after the UK racked up another record high of cases.

Amid a growing clamour for action from Labour and Tory MPs, the PM is set to make a televised statement on the 'next steps' in the crisis at 8pm, with Parliament being recalled on Wednesday.

MailOnline understands England is facing blanket restrictions similar to those imposed during the first lockdown last spring, with fears they will have to last for months until the most vulnerable get jabs.

Schools are set to be shut to all but vulnerable children and the offspring of key workers, but outdoor exercise will still be allowed. The Covid alert level is also being raised to the highest level of five.

A No10 spokesman said: 'The spread of the new variant of COVID-19 has led to rapidly escalating case numbers across the country.

'The Prime Minister is clear that further steps must now be taken to arrest this rise and to protect the NHS and save lives. He will set those out this evening.'

The news came just before the latest grim daily tally was released, with 58,784 new cases - a 42 per cent rise on last Monday.

It means the UK has passed the grim milestone of 50,000 every day for a week, suggesting that the Christmas break on restrictions helped fuel the outbreak.

Department of Health chiefs also posted 407 more deaths, up just 14 per cent on the figure recorded last week. But it can take infected patients several weeks to fall severely ill and succumb to the illness, meaning fatalities have yet to reach their peak and will continue to rise. The UK recorded almost 1,000 deaths twice last week, in grisly tolls not seen since the darkest days of the spring.

Breaking: Boris Johnson warns of 'tough' weeks ahead as UK set for third lockdown

4 Jan 2021,

Breaking news: BORIS Johnson will reveal a fresh lockdown tonight with an address to the nation - after he warned there was "no question" of tougher measures coming "in due course".

I`m seriously thinking of going into hibernation and just locking my doors and stop doing anything until next year, How can anyone carry on with everything thats happening out there,....

Schools closing,
Small businesses closing or struggling,
Small shop`s making a killing due to everyone struggling to make end`s meat,

Personally what more is to be said about it,...other than our government`s made a right mess of the whole thing?

well Kernal,
If the march lock down is anything to go on it means nothing as there is no one to enforce it or police it.
Hence here we are again in the same boat.
we should have enforced martial law first time around and we would not be here now.
It is a joke.
