Any arm arms tinkerers on here? I need to know the standard setting/height from valve body for the firing pot of an old s300 to set the correct valve spring pre load I've got here for a service it has an old style firing pot not like a s400 so the magic 57mm setting for those wont work on this one! And it was wound out so no idea what it should be set at and cant find info anywhere I think it's that old it pre dates the internet!🤣🤣
If you don't get an answer here, you will over on bbs I'm sure. Md

Not on there buddy
sorry just seen this.if you look at the firing pot threads you may see the witness marks were the locking grub screw buted up to it.so that will or could show you its original position

It didn't really have any marks on it kev I just took a best guess at 20mm and with the venturi screw fully open it was 11.99 fpe so got really lucky! Choked it down to 11 ish but as it was empty when it came to me I had no idea of any other problems it had/has it's a very early gun by the look of it serial is 165! . It seems to be blowing air into the trigger some how when fired you can feel it on your trigger finger? Think it's the probe/barrel seal maybe? Seems to puff a tiny bit when fired think that's a barrel off job to swap that one and I'm sure it's not the same type of oring as the s310 that came with it as that is a lot later gun (and in poor condition almost every screw is rounded or stripped) but I got the s310 going as best I can had to chop the hammer spring to get it right but the venturi screw is rounded out and stuck in the wide open position so made it hard for me to set up!
