Post by: Centrecut on October 06, 2020, 09:55:55 PM
Block is back from ceracote looking quite excellent IMO.. Barrels are due tomorrow, back together and out on the rats 🤞 then looked at some fettling.

If you don't mind answering, how much did it cost to have it ceracoted?

Hollard ceramic coatings did the work, your best asking price.. But tell him Lee Hunter sent you 👍

Just a work of warning ,I had my impact done by a very well known gunsmith who does a huge amount of cerakoting and he very strongly recommend I didn't have the block done as it might not give a uniform enough coating to seal high pressure and when it is on there wouldn't be no way of getting it off , he recommend I had it re anodised my Mansfield anodising,I decided to just have the none pressure bearing parts done .

I would never want to get them done on the sealing faces.just to rough.

The area where the O-ring seals High Pressure Air (HPA)
Usually, you never coat or anodize these areas!!
Either Tape or Masking Agent is applied to protect these areas!!
